More About Sign Language Tutoring Services

Our mission at SLTS is to offer exceptional programs and services that cater to young students, adult learners, professionals and corporations alike. We provide flexible learning options for all types of passionate learners, with high learning outcomes.  We also offer specialized translation and interpreting services. 

SLTS was founded in 2013, by Yordanna Garcia-Blackman, a certified member of the American Sign Language Teachers Association.  She has been working with the Deaf community in Trinidad and Tobago for many years.  Her portfolio includes teaching young and adult deaf students at a local NGO, teaching college students and staff members of a local statutory body and interpreting at conferences. 

While based in Central Trinidad, SLTS is available throughout the country, and since the start of 2021 has been offering its services in a fully online mode.  With SLTS, clients can be taught or communicated with, in Trinidad and Tobago Sign Language, as well as American Sign Language.
